Melanie Clark Thornberry is a Danville native, graduating from Danville High School and then Centre College in 2002 with a BA in English. She received her Juris Doctorate from Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University in 2005, and returned to Danville working with her father Merle Clark in his law practice as an attorney until his retirement at the end of 2012. In January, 2013, Melanie joined the law firm of Sheehan, Barnett, Dean, Pennington, Little & Dexter, PSC, as an associate. She concentrates her practice in the areas of Real Estate, Business, Estate Planning, and Probate law. Melanie lives in Danville with her husband Frank where she is active in the community. She is a member of the Danville Rotary Club and serves as an elder on the Session of the Presbyterian Church of Danville where she has been a lifelong member. She previously served as a member of Heart of Kentucky United Way Board of Directors and was a Big Sister for five years through the Big Brothers Big Sisters program in Boyle County until her “Little Sis” moved away.
